Aussie Frenzie!

Koolaburra, a brand came outta no where (at least to me), has just made my early fall must-have list. UGGs now to me is an option. Well why wouldn't it, simply take a look at these one-of-a-kind creations, it doesn't take half a brain to figure out why they are so irresistible. Knowing the famous Aussie sheepskin can be made into edgy, bohemian, tough-chic, gladiator, and styles you wouldn't even expect, is a comfort. Not really ditching UGGs though, for I am a long-time fan, after a while you lose your excitement because let's face it, everyone wears them.

Ok now the price point you ask? Well they certainly ain't cheap for which they, I believe, deserve the price they are asking for. Expect to pay $150 - $800 per pair depends on the style.

Tolix what?????????

Tolix chairs, originally French, was first introduced in 1938 by Xavier Pauchard, now the famous simple-form metal chair is being reproduced and seen in many design projects. As an antiques dealer, I would love to own a set of the original chairs by The Tolix Company, but I must say I am very intrigued by the reproduced version full of candy colors. Here are some of my favorite looks.

Got the pillows!

Absolutely love them in person.

Here is the look on my bed. Of course with my dog stealing the scene as always.

Here is the look in my store. Decorated with a 19th century Swedish painted daybed.

D is for DONNA KAREN

One thing I love about Donna Karen's work, is that her design always emphasizes movement, and movement resembles femininity. Here are the looks for Donna Karen Fall 2010. Nothing is better than the simple elegance enriched with quality.

Dream Home I

When I saw this picture on DecorPad, I immediately fell in love with it. The sunlight, the space, the soothing color palette, the hint of color, everything makes it feel so uplifting, so full of spirit.

This is another design I adore. A mid-century daybed cushioned with traditional fabrics, and didn't I already express my love to grain sack pillows? ^_^ Love the industrial metal stools and a ta-ta-mi rug, nothing beats the effortlessly chic.

My Ultimate Mid-Summer Gear!

We are having a surprisingly hot summer that's almost annoying because I now have to pick weather-appropriate outfit ( just since when weather has become a criteria for fashion?!! ). I, however, still can't resist a chic, understated, yet edgy summer outfit. Officially announcing the following pieces be mine. =D
It all starts with a feminine, sexy sheer tunic, like this one from Free People; pairs with an interesting and definitely eye-catchy lace biker shorts from Blue Life. (Both can be found on www.shopbop.com)

But of course being a huge fan of the legendary Jeffrey Campbell, how can I forget these? Just happy I snapped a pair of my size before they sold out. (Jeffrey Campbell "Fang" bootie, www.nordstrom.com)

And no, it doesn't mean anything without the right accessories. But since I am not an over-accessorized person, something like this necklace (www.anthropologie.com) and the new Coach (www.coach.com)Alexandra embossed leather bag (in antique brass) will do. Cheers!!!

Robots are us!

Ever since Prada's robot key ring design has became popular among New Yorkers several years ago, I, too, was fascinated by them small machinery thing-ys. Now the little robots are taken to a higher ground, they have became a new love to creative jewelry designers. These hand-made, exquisite human look-alike, will look just as cool on your neck as they are on your purse.

This one is my personal favorite. Tell me that cute little angel wings don't capture your heart.

I heart grain sacks!

My love goes to antique European grain sacks. First time I came across to the beautiful antique Swedish or German grain sack patterns, was when I saw it upholstered in a whimsical wingback chair. The simple blue- or camel-colored stripes decorated with old English letters, result, CLASSIC! Therefore, I can't help to add these ultra chic grain sack pillows to my recent acquisition. Mind you they are all antique German or French grain sacks with original imperfections, not reproduced digitally-printed like fabric. Enjoy ~
