Ivory Lace - A Provocative Spring

[Tunic, Nightcap, planetblue.com; Sweatshirt, Lovers + Friends, singer22.com]

It's a relief knowing ivory lace doesn't have to remind you your Grandma's table cloth, or the ponderous 19th century Victorianism, cuz spring 2011 is all about an ever-sensual character, and the style has never been more avant-garde.

Then again, can you really say no to an exquisite Dolce & Gabbana?

Dream Home III

Needless to say, I am blown away by the soothing palette, the chic industrial structure, the whimsical mix of antique and modern possessions (dig that mirrored writing table), and the zen-like mood set by the intimate lighting...
I'd call it my dream home, wouldn't you?

My Top 5 Best-dressed from The Academy Awards

So the Oscar extravaganza somehow enchanted the seemingly dull February. While I'm sure Joan Rivers has a lot to say about the Red Carpet gears, I don't like to just follow the stupid norm - I find wearing reds or metallics to Oscar is boring. Boy don't I miss Jennifer Lopez in that green open-front Versace dress years ago, literally jaw-dropping moments.
So here are my picks.

1. Mila Kunis in Elie Saab.
Mila wins my pick for the best dressed for number of reasons. Lavender, what a unique color, it's simply unforgettable. Subtle combination of lace and chiffon makes this dress look youthful and flirty. Wavy side-parted hairdo shows off her neckline w/o losing femininity.

2. Michelle Williams in Chanel Haute Couture.
So classy! She left quite an impression on me with that sleek yet chic haircut, and that white beaded Chanel dress shows off her figure so well.

3. Anne Hathaway in Lanvin tux.
In her Oscar dress-athon, I'm sure Anne looks beautiful just about in anything but I can't take my eyes off this tux on her. It's different, and it's delightful.

4. Amy Adams in L'Wren Scott.
I am not really a blue person, but this is no ordinary blue glitz. It looks so magnificent on Amy.

5. Scarlet Johansson in Dolce & Gabbana
While this gorgeous dress is ever figure-fitting, it's detail and that beautiful rouge color emphasize on the fun part of the body-con.
