Give in to her

Made her think, the New York based jewelry/accessory powerhouse, continues to shock me with their forceful feed of tempting style. The designer Meredith Kahn whimsically juxtaposes masculine and feminine, tough chic and girly, naughty and innocent, grungy and aristocratic. Whether it's the spiky ear studs, gem-encrusted cuffs, Medieval-inspired gauntlet rings, and the "Victorian biker" leather purses, all reflected the artist's out-of-box design. Here is the fall '11 campaign.

Too cool for prom...

Planet Blue's latest vignette - while the word "prom" hasn't been in my vocabulary for years and years, I just simply admire the style and the vintage-like photographs.

Dream Home IV

Despite the dark-painted walls, this room is filled with light. The big windows grant a wide visual. Thoughtful furniture choices like large tufted sofa, smooth-lined coffee table, and floor-to-ceiling shade-blending drapery, well proportioned the rather open-scaled space. Tranquility achieved!

Style Intervention - Tribal Fanatic

[Foley + Corinna tote, $298, www.singer22.com]

Whether it is aztec or navajo or any global-aware folk art of some sort, one can sense the tribal-loving trend is storming in the US fashion industry. A zealous bohemian fan I am, it's only a matter of time for me to dig up all those fancy-patterned processions. Brands like Torn by Ronny Kobo, Dolce Vita, House of Harlow, Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent, Haute Hippie, etc. all are pioneers of this style current.
Here I'm sharing some chic handbags under the same spell <3

Record-breaking bid at S & S Auction

If it wasn't for the lovely weather or some money-making momentum, Repaupo, New Jersey would be the last place I wanna visit. It was last week, after an enduring drive I ended up at this hillbilly (sorry I can't help) place with Sam.
I immediately spotted this signed Tommi Parzinger sideboard. It's lacquered in off-white with brass decorated pulls, raised on an ebonized block base, with a burned signature of "Parzinger Original" mark in the upper left drawer. Estimated between $3000 - $5000 with a starting bid at $2000.

After waiting almost 7 hours to finally start the cataloged auction, I unwillingly noticed every phone was occupied just before the lot came up. The lot started at $3000 with an internet absentee bid (stupid, I know), and quickly raised to $8,000 in no time. Just when I thought it's about to close, Sam raised his bid to $10,000. That surely pissed off a lot of people, and it now officially turned into a brutal bidding war. I couldn't help but whisper to Sam "you'd better get this one, I'll chip in half the money". After Phil (auctioneer)'s intense back-and-forth, I lost track how much it was at lol... Except it was at $16,000!!!! ... unfortunately that didn't scare our opponent away, he immediately followed with the next increment, $17,000. I knew we had to draw the line, and that's it, the lot closed at $17,000. Next thing you know the audience was clapping so excitingly I thought everyone had an orgasm haha. So we just set the bid record for a Tommi Parzinger signed piece. Too bad we didn't get it but it surely was nerve-wreckingly exciting.
Ofc it's only a matter of time it goes on news...

Searing Hot Denim... Is Everything But

[Wildfox Couture jeggins, www.boutiquestoyou.com; Genetic skinny, www.freepeople.com]

I'm in love with red denim! While it isn't a norm on the busy streets or hasn't invaded the catwalks yet, red jeans no doubt is the next big thing in 2011 (and I'm certain you've seen SJP rocks a pair of skinny). The eye-brightening color emphasizes on nothing but individuality. With the right cut and style, they could be quite flattering. I personally like the straight cut with a distressed wash, gives a vintage look and the shape elongates your legs.

Red hot denim... is everything but tradition, boredom, or commonplace.
