How brilliant is Philippe Starck? I don't know but I gotta tell ya, I dig his designs. One of my favorite be the ghost chair. The name is derived from the style of the French Louis XIV plus the subtle using of lucite, it seems as if the king is resurrected. Not to mention the latest candy-color version is simply irresistible. The result is fun, chic, and totally affordable. ($159.00/ea.)
the clear blue looks lovely! why are all the ghost chairs I see in homes the clear version? I want to see how colored versions are used in peoples homes!
To answer the question, The reason why the clear version is most popular is because the clear version is timeless. It can flow through the seasons like the northern wind. The colored versions are much more fun though
Actually, I wonder that myself. Quite frankly the clear version is the most popular because it can style with anything else. I like the colored version though, if I were to style my home I'd use the colored chair. Like a simple round Eero Saarinen table with 6 of these chairs each in different color. =)
